Meet Janet Bawcom
GC Solutions founder Janet Bawcom brings more than 30 years of senior-level legal and business leadership experience advising public companies, privately held enterprises, and global organizations. She has served as a trusted advisor to boards of directors, CEOs, and executive teams during periods of growth, transformation, and high-stakes decision-making.
As a senior in-house leader, Janet has built and led global legal and compliance teams, managed large departmental budgets, and implemented operational improvements that increased efficiency while reducing cost. Her experience spans a wide range of industries, business models, technologies, and U.S. and international regulatory regimes.
Janet is a highly regarded mentor and coach to attorneys transitioning from law firm practice into in-house counsel roles. Having made that transition herself, she works closely with lawyers to help them develop the skills to succeed inside an organization. Her mentoring helps ensure both the professional success of the attorney and stronger outcomes for the business. Janet also advises companies on how to build, manage, and improve their legal departments.
Through GC Solutions, Janet brings this perspective to growing and established businesses that need practical, business-minded legal leadership—without the overhead of a full-time in-house team.
